Case ICA-2024-14: Attraction lodged by MP Motorsport B.V. in opposition to Resolution No. 13 dated 04 December 2024 of the Nationwide Attraction and Disciplinary Courtroom of the Actual Federación Española de Automovilismo (“RFEdA”), within the framework of the 2024 Worldwide Sequence Eurocup-3 Championship.
On November 9, 2024, through the Eurocup 3 Championship at Circuit de Montmeló, Campos Racing’s driver Christian Ho (Automobile No. 23), and MP Motorsport’s driver Emmo Fittipaldi (Automobile No. 24) had been concerned in a racing incident in Flip 1-2 of lap 16. Automobile No. 23 overtook Automobile No. 24 on the apex of Flip 1, forcing Automobile No. 24 to go off monitor, becoming a member of the auxiliary highway and rejoining the monitor in entrance of Automobile No. 23.
At 18:23 CET, the Stewards issued Resolution No. 17, concluding that it was a race incident and that no additional motion was required. Campos Racing then requested a evaluation of CCTV and onboard footage to the Stewards who reaffirmed their preliminary choice.
At 19:46 CET, Campos Racing lodged an attraction earlier than the Spanish Nationwide Courtroom of Attraction.
On 4 December 2024, the NCA overturned the Stewards’ choice, ruling that Automobile No. 24’s maneuver violated Article 20.16 of the Sporting Laws and Article 12.2.1.i of the Worldwide Sporting Code, imposing a 5-second penalty to Automobile No. 24.
On 11 December 2024, MP Motorsport determined to attraction the choice earlier than the ICA.
